Responsible for the overall operations of Quality Resource Management Department, Patient Services (Infection Prevention), and Corporate Education. The Director has responsibility for overseeing the nursing practice for the Infectious Disease clinicians, Quality Analysts, Resource Care Coordinator, Education Specialists in Corporate Education, and the office coordinators within each of assigned departments. In addition, the Director will be responsible for additional collaborative projects assigned by the Vice President and Chief Medical Office. This includes facilitation of CPG teams, facilitation of the Transfusion Committee and other projects as needed. This individual participates as a member of the organization s leadership team to support the framework for planning, directing, coordinating, improving, and implementing healthcare services that are responsive to the community and to the pediatric patients and their family needs. This individual is responsible for overall oversight of regulatory agencies that survey Dayton Children s Hospital. This specifically includes the Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). The Director develops and manages efforts and services that emphasize appropriate admission and management of inpatient utilization, as well as concurrent and retrospective review of care. Additionally, the Director takes an active role in participating in the Clinical Safety program at Dayton Children s through review of incident reports, data analysis of incident report, participation on the SPS Core team for Cause analysis and in the Serious Safety event 3-part analysis/ reviews. The individual in this role must have excellent communication skills, a strong educational background in program design and instruction, strong writing skills, strong interpersonal skills and a sound clinical background. The Director works collaboratively with the Division of Nursing and is a member of Nursing Leadership to assist with care coordination activities, assuring that the use of information systems, and human resources are used effectively and efficiently.


  • Required: MSN and BSN or higher in Nursing. Graduate from an accredited program of nursing, 5-7 years specializing in Nursing/Healthcare Administration, RN licensure in State of Ohio
  • Professional certifications within 3 years of hire, Professional Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint Strong communication/interpersonal skills
